W O R K S H O P S & E V E N T S

On behalf of Chhattisgarh Government, IIIT-NR hosted an ideation workshop to establish "United Nations Technology Innovation Lab (UNTIL)" in the campus. Delegation of United Nations along with many other senior government officials visited our campus to participate in this workshop. The workshop was hosted by IIIT-NR‟s Vice Chancellor & Director, Dean, CFAO and other officials.

Recent Trends in IoT

It was organized in IIIT-NR on 24th & 25th March, 2017 in which different institutes participated making it a success. The workshop had a video conference with Dr. Akhilesh Mohan, (IIT Kharagpur) on the topics like SIW Antenna, metamaterial based Antenna. The objective of the workshop was to offer an insight into the detailed design perspective of these microwave components. To create a riveting atmosphere for students, more emphasis was given on the design of different kind of microwave antennas, which are used in different communication systems in today‟s scenario. The topics included in the workshop were a combination of theoretical as well as practical session. Hands-on practice on ANSYS software was given next day.

Industry Academia Meet

IIIT-NR, successfully conducted a two day event as the first Industry Academia Meet on 6th and 7th October, 2017. The meet was based on the theme "Producing industry ready professionals with industry academia linkages". The initiative taken by the academic team of IIIT-NR was under the commendable enlightenment of Vice Chancellor and Director, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Sinha along with the vigorous upport of all the faculty members and of course, with great efforts contributed by third year students. Several sessions for better interaction and conception of industries‟ requirements were conducted within two days with the delegates of KPMG, KPIT, Tech MENT Technologies, Polaris FT, Tech MAHINDRA as the guests. Being a part of executives and part of recruiting committees of their companies and firms, they shared the growing demand of the company and guided the students of IIIT-NR to take steps towards preparing themselves for these companies and firms.
